Lip enhancement procedures can add fullness to thin lips, decrease wrinkles around the mouth and improve lip contour and harmony with facial features. Adding volume to the lips can restore a youthful fullness that has been lost with age, or it can enhance lips that have always been thinner than desired.
Lips can be many different shapes and sizes. The key to a beautiful lip enhancement procedure is to maintain appropriate contour and balance between the upper and lower lips and with the rest of the facial features.

getting lip fillers
If you would like additional volume in the upper and/or lower lip, address significant vertical lip lines, or improve overall lip shape and symmetry, fillers are an ideal option. Fillers, the most common method for lip enhancement, are non-surgical and require minimum downtime. Your aesthetic injector will assess your current lip shape and symmetry, as well as overall facial balance, to determine the location and amount of filler needed to meet your lip enhancement goals. The fillers, consisting of hyaluronic acid, are injected into the upper and lower lips using a microneedle. There is minimal discomfort as the dermal fillers contain lidocaine, an anesthetic.
Recovery time varies for each client and for the type of filler injected. You can resume most activities right away, but is generally recommended that you avoid intense physical activity for the first 24-48 hours to minimize swelling and bruising. Most post-procedure discomfort or swelling can be relieved with topical icing.
Lip fillers are temporary, and the effects can last between 6 to 12 months.
